Health Current Now Receiving LabCorp Test Results for COVID-19
As Arizona’s Health Information Exchange (HIE), Health Current is committed to supporting the healthcare community during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are pleased to announce a new collaboration with LabCorp to direct their COVID-19 test results to the HIE.
This new collaboration brings a vastly expanded number of LabCorp test results into Health Current, including COVID-19 alerts for positive and negative tests. Historically, Health Current has received all COVID-19 lab results from Sonora Quest Labs, Banner Health and a variety of other hospitals, health systems and independent laboratories. Together, these groups account for 75-80 percent of all COVID-19 lab results in Arizona. We anticipate that new data from LabCorp will help create a more complete picture of COVID-19 testing throughout the state and help keep Arizona’s healthcare workforce safe.
How to Get Started
The new service is opt-in only. There are no costs to establish the data feed, however providers must complete a LabCorp Provider Authorization Form to allow LabCorp test results to flow to the HIE on their behalf. This form is available to download at www.healthcurrent.org/COVID19. If your organization orders some or all of your lab tests through LabCorp, please download, complete and return this form to your Health Current account manager or VendorSupport@healthcurrent.org at your earliest convenience.
