Health Current, formerly Arizona Health-e Connection, is the health information exchange (HIE) that helps partners transform care by bringing together communities and information across Arizona.
In 2013 a Consumer Education & Awareness campaign was conducted with funding from the Arizona HIE Cooperative Agreement Program. The campaign created the foundation for sustained success through the development of a broad-based community task force, the Consumer Connections Task Force, which includes representatives from more than 50 healthcare organizations, hospitals, health plans, government agencies and non-profit organizations.
The campaign supported the development of a consumer notification toolkit for providers who participate in a health information organization (HIO), a consumer health IT website – www.ehealth4AZ.org, a provider recognition program for Arizona eHealth Providers and a set of collateral and marketing materials for distribution to the community.
