The AHCCCS Targeted Investment Program (TI Program) has resulted in a surge of new Participants for Health Current recently. A total of 38 provider organizations have recently joined Health Current due to their selection to participate in the TI Program. This AHCCCS Program provides financial incentives to eligible providers to develop systems of integrated care and mandates participation in the use of Health Current. The aim of this program is to encourage and incentivize these providers to securely share clinical data to improve care coordination among care teams, identify and manage patient populations and develop high-risk patient registries.
Health Current was ready for a surge of new Participants in 2018, according to Beth Scully, Sr. Manager of Recruitment. “We knew that providers who were selected to participate in the TI Program had a deadline of March 1, 2018 to sign a Participation Agreement,” Scully said. “Fortunately, the majority of organizations selected to participate in the TI Program were already participating in Health Current,” she said.
There is more work ahead for these new Participants and for Health Current. Participants in the TI Program will need to be set up to receive hospital admissions, discharges and transfers (ADT) Alerts by September 30, 2018. Because of the time it takes to onboard and connect these new Participants, the TI Program set a March deadline for TI Participants to sign a Participation Agreement with Health Current.
