Integrated HIE: The Progress of Patient-Centered Care |
Health Current, one of the nation’s fastest growing health information exchanges (HIEs), today fully integrates both physical and behavioral health information and offers a suite of services designed to provide automated and easily accessible information for integration into clinical decision making and patient care workflows. More importantly, Arizona’s HIE includes participation across the spectrum, from first responders, reference labs, hospitals, community providers and behavioral health providers to long-term care facilities, home care and hospice providers – one secure connection linking healthcare delivery and health information.
Arizona’s HIE enables more informed clinical decisions and better care coordination by integrated care teams, the essential transformation of care required for successful value-based, coordinated healthcare. The 2018 Health Current Summit & Trade Show will feature presentations, discussions and breakout sessions on how health information, innovative solutions and one-connection technology is supporting better informed patient-centered care.
Keynote Speaker, Innovative Technology, Services & Solutions |
Tom Leary, Vice-President of Government Relations for the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) will review the national legislative landscape and provide a forward-looking perspective on the health information technology outlook for healthcare providers and organizations in the opening session of the Summit & Trade Show.
Keynote speaker David Kendrick, MD, MPH, FACP, will discuss The Community Goal of Health Information Exchange: Better Data and Improved Quality at the 2018 Health Current Summit & Trade Show. As the incoming Board Chair for the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), Dr. Kendrick has served as Senior Counsel on Interoperability to ONC’s National Coordinator for Health IT and is the author of the Patient Centered Data Home™, a model of nationwide interoperability which enables secure patient record exchanges among states and regions. Dr. Kendrick is the founder and CEO of MyHealth Access Network, Oklahoma’s non-profit health information network.
In addition to Dr. Kendrick, the Summit & Trade Show agenda features several Health Current successful use case presentations and other presentations, including a panel discussion of national HIE leaders and a panel discussion of the key players in Arizona’s efforts to bring social determinants of health information into clinical decision making.
Each day will also have dedicated breakout sessions featuring business and technology solutions. These sessions will provide an opportunity for attendees to see presentations and demonstrations of innovative technology and services that can help providers be successful in value-based healthcare.
Be sure to register and join the discussion, learning and networking that is improving Arizona healthcare through health information exchange and health IT.
